Weekend Recipe: Never Fail Pie Crust

 My G-ma's recipe!

5 c Flour
2 1/2 c Crisco
1/2 tsp salt
1 egg, beaten
2 tsp vinegar
cold water

I'm not the best pie former, but it worked and was good!

Mix the first three ingredients together until crumbly good. ( I do this with my hands)
In a one cup measuring cup, add beaten egg and vinegar,
and then fill the cup the rest of the way up with cold water.
Pour this over the flour mixture and mix it all together good (I do this with my hands)
Divide by five and make round balls, let set for about 10 minutes.
Roll out and make your pies!
If you are a novice pie maker (like I was) use flour below the dough and on the rolling pin when rolling it out so it doesn't stick
This will make 2 pies and one pie shell or just 5 pie shells.

It freezes very well.

My delicious chicken pot pie I made with this crust recipe!

I totally was scared to make my own pie crust and did with this recipe from my G-ma. It turned out amazing the first time I ever tried and it was super easy!
